Emmy Nelissen is an economist in the ECORYS Rotterdam office focusing on international public health issues; social sector development and competiveness. Before ECORYS, Emmy worked for 4 years as a research manager in the ECOTEC Brussels office specialising in EU social policy. She has contributed to many national and European research studies and evaluations in the policy fields of employment, integration and education. She has acquired extensive expertise in qualitative and quantitative research skills, necessary to undertake evaluations, impact studies, cost-benefit analyses, comparative studies and good practice publications. Besides, she has organised and facilitated knowledge sharing meetings in assignment of the European Commission; bringing together stakeholders on different subjects (particularly ESF) to share best practices and exchange experiences at 8 different EU-locations. Prior to ECOTEC, Emmy worked for 2 years as a researcher and lecturer at Maastricht University in the Netherlands, specialising in labour market economics and migration. During this period she taught bachelor and master students a wide range of subjects, including 2 skill training session focusing on presentation skills.
