| Training | | EU Policies: Recent developments in critical policy areas | | | | | | Introduction | | The seminar series (training course) has these objectives: - Making participants familiar with the most up-to date developments in EU policies in relevant EU Policy themes. These themes are: Competitiveness: Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Human Resources Development (Employment, Social Policies and Education), Regional Development and Transport and Environment policies.
- Sharing relevant experiences, projects and best practices from EU Member States and Candidate Countries in the above themes relevant for participants.
- Learn lessons from previous experiences in the EU Member States as recommendations for the accession process and EU policies in Candidate Countries.
ECORYS' expertise ECORYS has developed and will implement this seminar series together with Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey. | | | | | | Subjects | | The seminar series will consist of both general and thematic modules. The following 8 modules can be organized: - Introduction in the EU Acquis, Cohesion Policies and EU Funds: EU Cohesion Policy Framework, Funds and implications;
- Institutional and capacity building for EU Policies: Administrative capacity and project preparation;
- Competitiveness: Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Recent EU policies (Lisbon Agenda, Entrepreneurship Agenda) and good practices projects from the EU Member States and Candidate Countries and its implications and lessons;
- Regional Development: EU Policy framework (Cohesion Policy), recent regional policies in the EU, good practices from EU Member States and implications;
- Project development and application for EU Funds: How to develop good projects and apply to be able to benefit from EU funds;
- Implementation of EU Programmes and projects: implementation lessons from EU and pre-accession countries;
- Social Policies and Employment: EU Policy Framework (EU Employment Strategy, PROGRESS) recent policy developments and good practices from new EU member States;
- Infrastructure: Transport and Environment Policies, EU Policy Framework and EC directives, recent policy developments, lessons from project evaluations in EU Member States and implications.
