Gerard Molenaar has a broad experience in housing issues over a period of more than thirty years. He combines his work as a policymaker and a consultant with trainer ships and lec-tures in various courses and specific jobs. His performance is mainly based upon experience and practical skills, developed over a longer period. His analyses and advices are research based and focussed on practical implementation. Creativity and communication are important keywords in his work. Linked to Gerard’s principal activities as a housing market consultant, he takes care of: training activities, courses and expert meetings in the field of housing strategies, -policies, investment strategies, portfolio - and asset management, implementation processes (management) and so on…..
His clients are governmental organisations on many levels as well as public and private parties. He combines his expertise with concrete, practical experiences. - Visiting lecturer Technical Universtiy in Delft (inter-university programme with UK-post doc scholarships’);
- In company training with 27 municipal housing companies (Matra=programme subsidized for three years by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs);
- Arranging and organising the first official curriculum Housing Management at the Technical State University Moscow (train the trainer principle a Matra programme for three years, subsidized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs);
- Several in company courses with Dutch Housing Associations etc.
Although many years ago his knowledge background is focussed on business economy, his expertise is broad and you might call him a generalist in his own field.
