We are proud to present to you the third edition of the ECORYS Academy newsletter. Through this newsletter we would like to inform you of our training on offer - both open training courses and client-based training courses - and on recent developments and relevant news about the ECORYS Academy.

We are proud to announce that we have added additional services to our clients. To keep you informed more fully about current and future European developments, we have added the section "Buzzes from Brussels" with the latest relevant news and developments from the European arena.

European legislation can have an enormous impact on the public and private sectors. In response, the ECORYS Academy has developed a European Alert Seminar Series. Short seminars will inform you about the consequences and impact of new European legislation. These seminars are also aimed at initiating networking and at establishing alumni circles as a professional platform for the exchange of knowledge and information. Currently, two Alert Seminars have been scheduled: Energy Efficiency in the Built Environment, and The implementation of the Services Directive (more information and dates to be announced on the website).

Rob Boudewijn was appointed Academy Manager on 1 April this year. It is his goal and ambition to further develop the ECORYS Academy into a leading training institute and to raise the profile of the ECORYS Academy as the training portal of ECORYS. In this edition we illustrate recent achievements such as the INTERREG Course - still going strong - and several new training initiatives which will be offered in the second half of this year:

1. Intensive summer course Structural Funds
2. Public Private Partnership
3. A Master class on European Effectiveness
4. A workshop on policy/programme formulating
5. Training on the evaluation of acts and regulations
6. A Master class on Cost/Benefit Analysis of EU Funded Projects.

The combination of our extensive, specialised experience, the quality of our training staff, and our extensive international network of experts ensures that you get relevant added value from each ECORYS Academy training course. The training courses offered in this newsletter are open to anyone. An important strength of the ECORYS Academy is that we can translate your wishes into tailor-made programmes: specific training especially for your organisation is always a possibility and available at any location worldwide!

INTERREG Project Development training still going strong
One of our continued training successes is the Interreg Project Development Course. The most recent course took place in March of this year, the next course is scheduled for 17-19 November in Brussels.

  ECORYS advises the highest scoring INTERREG project
ECORYS is proud to announce that all INTERREG IVC project proposals supported by ECORYS have been approved. Furthermore, one of these projects - the DeltaNet project - has received the highest score of all 481 INTERREG IVC project proposals (2nd call).

As an extra, additional service to our clients, the ECORYS Academy has developed the European Alert Seminars Series. Together with ECORYS Brussels we monitor closely which new European legislation is in the pipeline or just entered into force and what the consequences and impact might be for our clients.
