New training course: Positioning for SF after 2013
European Cohesion Policy remains an important topic for EU Member States and regions. And not without reason: with a budget of over € 350 billion, the Cohesion and Structural Funds make up more than a third of the EU's budget. Cohesion and Structural Funds are viewed as a powerful instrument, not only for achieving greater convergence in economic development between Europe's regions but also for pursuing economic competitiveness more generally and for increasing sustainable development in the face of climate change.
However, the future of the Structural Funds beyond 2013 is uncertain. As the stakes are so high, the preparation for the new round of Structural Funds is already in full swing. How well is the territory you work in prepared to take full advantage of these Funds? How are you going to respond to fundamental changes in Cohesion policy? And, above all, what is needed to ensure that Cohesion policy works for your country, region or local area?
Our course ‘Positioning for Structural Funds after 2013’ will provide you with:
- improved insight in the state of play on the Structural Funds and the possible ways forward;
- increased ability to prepare 'future proof' positions on Structural Funds;
- the ability to meet and team up with partners with similar interests and positions – and forge alliances;
- increased capacity and confidence to participate in the upcoming debates and negotiations on the future of the Structural Funds.
This training is designed for senior European professionals, working in regional and national governments or (semi-) governmental bodies in the area of economic and social development, with current or future responsibilities in the preparation, management, implementation or evaluation of Structural and Cohesion Policies.
