  • Training  SF Monitoring and Evaluation

    Introduction

    Monitoring:
Monitoring is a continuous process carried out during the whole life cycle of a programme. Monitoring a programme requires continually examining the delivery of concrete programme outputs to intended beneficiaries. It is a tool that provides management information as well as information on the effectiveness of the programme. Monitoring is more than just data collection to see whether the objectives are met. It is a tool for active management of the programme on different levels.
    Evaluation:
During the session you will be introduced to the main concepts of evaluations, the organisation of the evaluation process and the use of the results. We will deal with issues such as how to contract evaluation, quality control and the use of Steering Groups and experts.
