Monitoring a programme requires continually examining the delivery of concrete programme outputs to intended beneficiaries. It is a tool that provides management information as well as information on the effectiveness of the programme. Monitoring is more than just data collection to see whether the objectives are met. It is a tool for active management of the programme on different levels. Evaluation: During the session you will be introduced to the main concepts of evaluations, the organisation of the evaluation process and the use of the results. We will deal with issues such as how to contract evaluation, quality control and the use of Steering Groups and experts. | | | | | | Aim | | The aim of this training module is to get deeper knowledge on the purpose, concepts, use of monitoring data and the data collection and management. For evaluation, the participants will be familiar with the main requirements concerning evaluation of Structural Funds programmes, how to implement these in practice and how to strategically use the evaluation results. | | | | | | Gains | | After successful completion of the monitoring part of this training module, will have increased their knowledge on: - The main monitoring concepts
