"Validation, Certification and Subsequent Commercialisation of Eastern Europe Regional Centre for Gas Metrology in Boyarka, Ukraine"

Ecorys is finalising a commercial component of a large EU-funded project “Validation, Certification and Subsequent Commercialisation of the Eastern Europe Regional Centre for Gas Metrology in Boyarka that started in July 2008 in the Ukraine. The project has been implemented in close cooperation with the consortium leader VSL (before NMi Van Swinden Laboratorium) who is in charge of the technical component. The project is part of the EU-funded Inogate programme of “Energy Cooperation between the EU, the Littoral States of the Black & Caspian Seas and their Neighbouring Countries”.

The project aims at a comprehensive certification, including EU/international validation and preparation for accreditation, of the Gas Metrology Centre in Boyarka (BMC), as well as the commercialization of the Centre’s services. This strategically important project contributes to making the Boyarka Metrology Centre operational so that the Centre is able to carry out commercial calibrations at high accuracies for equipment used in the Oil & Gas industries. Under the commercial component a study of the potential clients and the business plan of the Boyarka Metrology Centre have been prepared, and a number of promotional tools, such as a website and a newsletter have been developed.
