| Training | | Cost Benefit Analysis for Urban or Rural development: Area Development Projects (such as housing, offices, ports and business parks, nature, water, recreation and leisure facilities and railway station area development projects). | | | | | | Introduction | | This training gives an introduction to Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) according to the Guidelines of European Commission (or for Netherlands OEI Guidelines). Cost Benefit Analysis is an approach to quantify all potential impacts of projects on society and is required for EU major projects applications and in the Netherlands as well for major projects (such as development of Almere, Zuidas, Maasvlakte 2 projects etc). The training is very relevant for staff working in Departments in Ministries of Housing and Spatial Planning, or Urban and Regional Development responsible for policy and project preparation and/or for provinces, regions, municipalities, NGOs) responsible for project preparation and implementation. The training includes working with real project examples, case studies in the fields of real estate development, station area development, nature, recreation and water projects etc. ECORYS' expertise ECORYS has developed CBA courses for Ministries and implementing agencies in the Netherlands (Ministerie van VROM), Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Latvia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slowakia and Croatia and implements a CBA course as part of a general course on EU Funds and IPA Funds Management for EVD Cross Agency every year. | | | | | | Subjects | | - Introduction to Cost Benefit Analysis and Guidelines of European Commission for CBA (or OEİ Guidelines for the Netherlands)
