Marie-Jose Zondag and Javier Fernandez, two of the ECORYS Academy trainers, were asked to provide training on ongoing evaluation at this seminar.

Their course included:

• How to start evaluation, who to involve;
• what should be in evaluation plan;
• what issues to evaluate;
• when to use what type of evaluation (strategic, operational, cross-programme);
• how to develop a terms of reference;
• which data to use;
• how to develop a cross-programme evaluation;

The training provided was on the basis of the handbook for ongoing evaluation, which Marie-Jose Zondag has been developing for INTERACT, based on existing EU documents and information provided by several territorial cooperation programmes.
