26 October 2011 - From 14 until 25 November 2011 Ecorys Academy will organize a new MTEC Training for 50 participants from the (potential) candidate countries of the European Union.

It is the objective of this Matra Training for European Cooperation (MTEC) of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs to train (senior) government officials and experts on the Instrument for Pre-Accession (IPA). Other main goals are creating new networks and strengthening bilateral relations between Dutch institutions and their counterparts in the target countries.

Candidate countries are all eligible for the Instrument for Pre-Accession, to transform their economy, government institutions, legal structure and judicial system to meet EU standards. At the same time they face the challenging task of negotiating and dealing with Brussels on a regular basis. The training therefore, will prepare the participants on effective national interest representation as well.

The MTEC-Instrument for Pre-Accession training is open for 50 government officials working with IPA, coming from eight eligible countries: Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey.
